Chicago Blues Photos from Bill Lupkin – Part 1

Thanks to Bill Lupkin for sharing these amazing photos. Bill was the harmonica player in the Jimmy Rogers Blues Band and the Bob Riedy Blues Band in the early 1970s. These images provide an insider’s view of the Chicago blues scene of that time period. All photos by / courtesy of Bill Lupkin.

  2. Re: Lady Guitarist Erma. Does anybody else see the resemblance that Queen Latifah has to her?!?! If anybody is considering a biopic, they don’t have to do any searching for an actress to portray Erma. Is there anymore information about her? Full name, etc.

  3. I am from Illinois and lived in Champaign during the early 70’s when the Hound Dog Taylor trio,J.B. Hutto and the Hawks and Fast Fingers came to the campus on alternate
    weekends.They tore the roof off!!!!!!
