Amanda’s Rollercoaster

Subtitled “The greatest harmonica show ever”, Amanda’s Roller Coaster (named after the Little Walter instrumental) was a once in a lifetime occurance. Amanda Taylor dreamed of putting a show together of her favorite harmonica players and that dream became reality on Oct 1, 2, and 3, 2010. Only Amanda would have taken on the overwhelming task of a show of this magnitude, and she did so with flair! All 3 days were recorded by Clarke Rigsby of Tempest Recording and it was filmed also. Please enjoy this small sampling of the many photos taken freom this powerful weekend. More photos to be added later.

  1. Will never forget getting the opportunity of attending this amazing concert , my friend and myself being 2 of only 4 Australians in attendance , to be able to meet nearly all of these great musicans over this weekend , the exception of the headline legends Hubert Sumlin and James Cotton who were fantastic but I wasn’t going to be a pest with these legends , all others were kind enough to sign a shirt I had made in Melbourne prior to going , staying at the same accomadation as many of these wonderful musicans was fortunate enough to spend time sharing BBQ a beer or three with James Harman and Lazy Lester , chatting to Johnny Sansone , Kim Wilson , and others Junior Watson , talking to me about he’s experiences touring Australia with Canned Heat , Amanda putting on my signed tee shirt for a few photos , meeting band guys them chatting to me asking whether I knew a musician and their friend from Melbourne , Bob Corritore’s venue with a limited attendance of perhaps a few hundred was perfect , to be close to touch greats like HubertSumlin andJames was unreal
